Yes. Prototype and one-off solutions are explicitly supported across the engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing process. McBrady Engineering can develop equipment for applications where catalogue machinery is unsuitable, including custom adapters, fixtures, fabricated assemblies, container-handling systems, and packaging-line problem solving. Project requirements, drawings, materials, controls, and documentation should be reviewed during scoping.

Applications include beverage bottling, breweries, distilleries, wineries, food processing, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, laboratories, chemical processing, household and personal-care products, contract packaging, packaging OEM projects, and systems integration. Equipment may support container cleaning, filling, handling, drying, washdown, packaging, or specialised line modifications. Requirements should be defined for the specific process and environment.

Available materials include type 304 stainless steel, type 316L stainless steel, mild steel, and approved plastics such as Delrin and Lexan. Material selection depends on the process, washdown conditions, corrosion exposure, hygienic requirements, structural needs, and customer specifications. Chemical applications may require 316L construction, while food, beverage, and pharmaceutical projects may require defined documentation and finish requirements.

McBrady Engineering places emphasis on TIG welding and performs passivation on every weld. Pharmaceutical-grade welding is available upon request. Surface-finish specifications, weld-inspection methods, polish grades, and roughness values are not generally published, so these requirements should be established before fabrication. Material certificates, welding records, inspection records, and passivation records can be addressed as project deliverables.

Custom builds can include Allen Bradley electrical components, optional Allen Bradley PLC and touchscreen HMI controls, PowerFlex #525 VFDs, inverter-rated motors, emergency stops, door interlocks, photo units, and CAT 3 safety upgrades. NEMA 4 electrical enclosures and optional sloped NEMA 4X enclosures are available. UL 508A, NFPA 79, and other requirements should be specified and confirmed for the project.
